This section is updated as new images are processed. NOAA Weather Satellite data is available as active Polar Orbiting Environmental Satellites (POES) pass within reception range. Automatic Picture Transmission (APT) signals are captured by using a quadrifilar helical antenna connected to a precision tuned wideband FM receiver. Data output is passed to a PC sound card and in turn converted to visible images diplayed below.
